There are a number of ways of building a web site. Once created anyone (who has a computer!) can visit your homepage. You will want to advertise your web page address (url) on your stationery and photographs etc.

Apart from text and photographs you are able to also include your showreel and voice examples - this will cost you more!

Firstly, check (free of charge) to see if your Domain Name is available - for example: AndrewManson.com or AndrewManson.co.uk. Please note: If you decide to register with a company it will involve a charge.

We have listed below three ways of starting out:

AOL,Freeserve or Compuserve.	By joining a company like AOL  (or many others) you also receive web space. This is usually enough to create a 'homepage' where you can upload about three photographs and your Resume/CV. You can usually also create you own e-mail addresses. Once online and your web page is up and running you can change your photograph and any text as often as you like free of charge.
Paying for your homepage.	If you do not have the time to create your own website there are many ways of paying someone to build your homepage for you. To get you started purchase some 'web' magazines. Alternatively, you can join a website Company (there are many on the internet and more to come) who have templates etc. to help you create a site very quickly - all at a price.
Actors Internet Directories	By joining someone like the Academy Players Directory you can join 'The Link' - an Internet Directory - at no additional cost. In the UK there is Spotlight and ActorsNet amongst others - Companies will create a web page for you  on their Servers (web sites) and allow you to make a certain amount of minor alterations. These type of web sites often charge you to make any alterations. Remember what ever you decide, once on the WWW anyone can view your web pages. For example: although we are based in London, 'Talentroom.com' and the page you are reading is on a Server based in America. You do not have to be on a server in your country.
