Is currently appearing in the National Tour of "MARY POPPINS" after returning from Vienna's English Theatre and playing 'Madame Arcati' in "BLITHE SPIRIT." On television she most recently she was seen in the season finale episode of "DOCTOR WHO" on BBC1. Valda played 'Grandma Gellman' in the National Theatre's award-winning production of "CAROLINE OR CHANGE". In 2006 she toured the UK in "JERRY SPRINGER – THE OPERA" having also appeared in the original production at the National Theatre. She was also an original cast member in "THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK" and appeared in the new play "WHEN FLORENCE MET ISADORA" at the Rosemary Branch Theatre.
